D. 1st PNG National WCTU Convention: "Forward Together - Together Everyone Achieves More"

The 1st Vice-President, Reverend Valaun Teko with Guest Speaker, Ms Abba Bamua, President for the Provincial Council for Women in Morobe Province.

Ms Bamua addressed the women in the opening meeting and encouraged them to learn all they could during the convention in order to make a difference in their communities, in addressing the problems of alcohol and drug use.

Mitroy Sapul, former Director for Children's Work helped to organise the convention.

Dawn Giddings, 3rd World Vice-President and Field Worker for the Pacific gave the opening devotional, highlighting the experience of Nehemiah in Scripture and how he accomplished what God wanted.
